Roger and Rafa - a match for the ages

Fans of both players were given a treat
In this epic match that brought all to their feet
Like fiercely fighting lions devoid of all "nerves"
Using all of their might throwing each other curves

With the fifth set tied at 7 - 7
Fedfans saw hell in Wimbledon heaven
For Roger was broken, Nadal then prevailed
To many a cheer and more of a wail

CONGRATULATIONS, nonetheless, to Rafael Nadal!
At least for today he is standing quite tall.
Maybe Roger looked back on his first Wimby win
And well knew the glow Rafa was in
He smiled as he praised his feisty young foe
This World Laureus man would NOT air his woe

The world stage of tennis was blessed on this day.
Numbers One and Two brought their best to the fray
In the challenges ahead of our Legendary Man
He'll rise to the occasions, many more to command
